A set of six contemporary side chairs in the mid-century modern style, manufactured by the UHS Group. This set features the Situla model, designed for KFC restaurant interiors, characterised by its distinctive Y-shaped back support which represents Colonel Sanders tie. The collection is comprised of two distinct colourways: three chairs featuring light oak-effect moulded plywood seats and bucket shaped backrests with red powder-coated steel supports, and three chairs with off-white wood-grain effect moulded plywood components and black powder-coated steel supports. Each chair is supported by four tapered, splayed solid wood legs. The backrests are secured with four exposed silver-tone bolts.
Condition report:
The chairs are in used condition. Multiple chairs show visible chipping to the laminate and veneer edges on the seats and backrests. There is general surface wear, scuffing to the wooden legs, and minor marks to the powder-coated metalwork consistent with commercial use.
